Growing up as immigrants from a Spanish speaking country to an English speaking one, our founders, Sofia and Adrian, knew all about language and translation. They started young so they picked up two languages very quickly and have had to translate for their parents ever since. But they always wondered how their parents would do things without them and they wondered how all of the people without kids or family who didn't speak English would be able to get by. That is what inspired them to start Entiendo.
Entiendo means "I understand" in Spanish. We named our app this, hoping that we can help people understand the world around them and live more independently. Being Independent doesn't have to me completely alone though, independent can mean that you can go out into the world and go about your life on your own but ask for help when you need it!
